The Royal Geographical Society is a learned society and professional body for geography and geographers, founded in 1830, supporting research, education, expeditions and fieldwork, and promoting public engagement and informed enjoyment of our world.
I was elected a Fellow in 2012 with interests in both branches of geography. Within physical geography, I'm currently preoccupied with questions related to paleoenvironment and human evolution. As part of human geography, I've long been intrigued by the geographical foundations of economic performance.
